Same old crap......had numerous chances to score and win the game, but, the useless hitters left them all on base until Josh Reddick got a pinch hit single in the 9th to drive in our only two runs....Earlier, we had the bases loaded with one out. Springer strikes out and Altuve flies out.......NO runs. Tying and lead runs on in the 9th. Altuve steps up and strikes out to end the game.....nothing new, I expected it.
This team has no business going to the post-season. They will embarrass themselves and any fans they have left after all the bullshit they have pulled.

He had decent at bats and made us feel he was due only to strike out when the team needed him the most. Straw is also a useless player if not stealing bases. Closers rarely are any good at holding runners. Springer would’ve tied the game had Straw stolen second base. He couldn’t even get to third on the slow single.

Between the cheating, the race card, the players not really having baseball talent, and me being "mean" (according to Marshal) there are only about 5 people who post here now (and 3 of us don't watch the team anymore). 6 if you count Churchill, who is just a non-fan troll.

What I don't get about Straw is that when he gets on base and a steal is needed, he seldom runs. I don't know if Baker doesn't want or what......but Straw's only asset is his speed and it isn't being used. When the pitching hold the opposition to three runs, we are supposed to win. Our top hitters continue to suck and kill the team. Reddick had to come off the bench to drive in the only two runs we scored after our so-called stars kept blowing chances to drive them in. We are back to taking too many pitches with RISP that should be hit. We also get called out on strikes way too often. I can't count the times we have needed a big hit only to see Correa or Bregman get called out on strikes leaving the runners on base. I also think the plate umpires have a very wide zone when we are batting. Our guys have strikes called on them that don't get called on the opposition.

I don't recall the race card being played. If these guys don't have talent and put up the numbers they did before this season, that is pretty strong evidence that they were guilty of cheating. The cheating and the disrespect the players showed for the flag and country were the reasons so many left. I wanted to leave and feel like a hypocrite for staying, but, I have followed this team since its inception in 1962. I remember them winning the first game 6-2 over the Cubs at old Colt Stadium and Roman Mejias hitting home runs and Bobby Shantz being the winning pitcher. I also waited until 2017 for a World Series title only to learn we may have won it due to stealing signs. I still watch the games......and only Astros games.........because I love baseball and am unable to drive now due to neuropathy caused by diabetes. My TV and computer keep me occupied unless I am puttering around the house or yard. I defended this team from the beginning because I didn't think there was enough solid proof that they cheated and the fact that they won more games on the road than at home where they were supposed to have had cameras in centerfield sending information to the dugout. Now, we have this weird season........no spring training, only playing games in our division and the NL West, having no fans, the league bowing down to a bunch of domestic terrorists with admitted Marxist leaders, and our team boycotting a game under the guise of "racial awareness". TV ratings for MLB, NFL, and the NBA have all drastically declined due to this nonsense. With the drastic decline in run production from our "stars", I am convinced that ALL of them were involved in the cheating. The team was found guilty, not individuals......But, we still have some who want to claim that Jose Altuve is squeaky clean and innocent even though the numbers point to him being as guilty as anyone and more than some. Our most productive hitter wasn't here when the cheating took place. If we limp into the playoffs, it is highly unlikely that we make it past the first round.

It won't happen next year unless we re-sign some players and sign some needed players off the FA list from other teams.

I don’t mean to make excuses, but that first strike on Altuve by their closer is a ball 99% of the time. The catcher even had to change directions just to catch it.

That is what I meant about our players having strikes called on them that are not called on the opposition. That was one of many pitches called strikes that were clearly out of the zone. We definitely are getting low pitches out of the zone called against us.

I don't recall the race card being played. Uh...WHAT? Did you miss the whole BLM jersey at home plate followed by an abandoned baseball game? Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant that we played the race card on the board.....My apologies. I wasn't thinking about the BLM jersey that our incompetent, black manager wears in interviews that should be an embarrassment to Crane and the organization. I called them every name in the book when they abandoned the game and put that damn BLM shirt on top of home plate. We followed the example of other teams which was unfortunate. Rob Manfred is a spineless pawn for the big market teams that are located in cities ran by liberal democrats. He hasn't got the balls to stand up to BLM and the Marxist thugs and terrorists who make up its membership.

Today's GDT is up and ready for today's game.

Two great at bats from Altuve tonight resulting in two hits. The team as a whole is getting good swings at Lynn. George's three run bomb is the big blow. Javier looks good on the mound.

Big games from George, Jose, and Bregman....all with home runs. The one George hit was a bomb. We had an all-around good game, especially from our hitters. Javier was good until he ran out of gas.
I am still trying to understand why we kept a dud like Garneau as backup catcher and sent Stubbs to the taxi squad.....He had a great night tonight........O FOR 5 with 4 K's. LOL LOL He can't block a low pitch and can't throw. In short, he ain't worth a damn and we wasted money signing him.

He’s older, can’t hit, and can’t throw out runners. He also plays once a week if he’s lucky.

Whatever the case. the Astros look like idiots for keeping Garneau and sending Stubbs out. I hope they trade Stubbs so he can get a chance with another team since Dusty Baker is too damn stupid to use him as a backup. Whoever signed Garneau is a moron and wasted money. They have completely shit on Garrett Stubbs. The sooner old Dusty is put out to pasture, the better. That way he can wear his damn BLM shirts and march with his "brothas" in the streets.
