Too bad JV is out. Let's go one more time!

So, the Angels lost our way into the playoffs? ~I have a gooYepd feeling this is our year|~ Yep, this is our year......How can we lose with a genius like Dusty Baker calling the shots, a seasoned bullpen, clutch hitting up and down the lineup, and great bench led by Super Turd Mayfield, Toro, and Garneau? Old Dusty has taken 5 different teams to the post-season before and has a perfect record.........his teams have always lost and he hasn't won a damn thing........Expect the streak to continue.

Greinke needs to grunt his way to some quality starts already. Save it for the postseason I doubt if we see Greinke before game one of the playoffs even though he hasn't pitched very well lately. Valdez may be a better choice to start game one. I would use those two and Urquidy in the first round with McCullers and Javier in the pen. Should they luck out and advance, then, we need five starters. When a playoff roster is decided, since we can carry 28, I hope they have the good sense to put Sneed and Bielak off the roster and include Stubbs and Taylor Jones.

He has looked better being used in relief.........Sneed needs to be released.

As the end of the regular seasons draws near, if you'd told me we'd make the playoffs after the below things happened, I'd have called you crazy. It hasn't been pretty, and we've all b*tched and moaned quite a bit. But, they made it in and they have the experience and pedigree to go deep again if they play the way they can.
1. JV would only make one start. 2. Yordan would only play in two games. 3. Osuna would only pitch four INNINGS. 4. Brantley, Altuve, and Bregman would each miss essentially a quarter of the season. 5. With Altuve having the worst season of his career, by far. 6. Greinke having a 4+ ERA. 7. Every veteran reliever missing substantial playing time outside of Pressly. 8. Pressly, our best reliever going into this season, being mediocre at best. 9. Our best starting pitcher being a rookie who only made 2 starts in AAA. 10. Yuli, who had a .884 OPS last year would only have a .674 OPS this year. 11. Arguably our most consistent hitter was a guy that was likely only going to be a 4th OFer at best. 12. And to top it off, arguably our best reliever is a rookie named Scrubb.
Dear Astros,
Nobody outside of Houston expects you to win at this point, and even a lot of Houston fans are down on you. And even if you do somehow win, most people will hate you even more. But so what? It's time to embrace your legacy of dominance and demonization. Let's go out with a bang.

99% chance we aren’t winning anything this year. We’ll be lucky to get past the first round.

Has anyone else noticed that Dusty has ditched his toothpick and replaced it with a mask and BLM shirt? I can't believe I have seen some folks on social media praising Dusty for getting this team to the playoffs........still idiots who think they know the game who actually have no clue. This team grossly under-achieved, but, I'm not blaming Dusty. He had nothing to do with them relying on stealing signs to put runs on the board. Our players have played with a dark cloud hanging over their heads, and, they created it.
We won't win this year or any year with Dusty Baker as manager. It's not a coincidence that the Nationals fired him and then won the WS the first year afterward. They won with basically the same players Dusty had but never won anything. That is telling on Dusty's worth as manager.

I think Corch, for change, is right, he is spot on: I think the Astros, despite all the injuries, would have won this year had they not hired Dusty...Well at the very least, if he was serious about winning this year, he could have kept the tooth pick, and not have worn a BLM mask.... No one will ever know, if things could have been different... Now thinking about it more, maybe if the Astros don't win this year, MLB should put an asterisk next to trophy. Good point Corch! ******! .

Good point Corch! ******! . What do you mean "for change"?? LOL I have been around long enough to know quality when I see it......I am usually right. LOL We started this season with two strikes on us and some sharp breaking balls coming up. The guys involved with the cheating........with a couple of exceptions.........had terrible seasons with the bat. The fact that Kyle Tucker had no involvement in the cheating and was our most productive hitter says a lot about how the others handled everyone knowing they cheated. I defended them as long as possible. Then, undeniable proof and a lot of circumstantial evidence was brought to light. I expected our pitching to take a hit when Cole left. None of us expected Verlander to make one start and later need Tommy John surgery. None of us expected to lose our closer when Osuna went down. We expected some help from Peacock and he could not stay healthy. If guys like Valdez, Urquidy, and Javier hadn't emerged to do solid jobs in the rotation, we would have finished looking at to the Angels and Mariners in the standings. We also found a few young relievers who can help down the line.......Raley, Taylor, Scrubb, Paredes. Garcia showed some promise. We also found out we need to dump the garbage........Sneed, Biagini, and Devenski. We found out signing Garneau was a waste of money and roster spot. Whoever the dumbass was who wanted to keep him and send Stubbs down needs to be fired. We found out that Super Turd Mayfield and Toro had Jake Marisnick for a hitting coach as did Myles Straw. Straw would be a big help if he could only steal first base. Click has a lot of work to do.......first thing he should be concentrating on is re-signing George Springer. That should be top priority even though we have a couple around here who don't think so. Signing Brantley would be nice, but, Springer is the one we need the most. We need to sign a quality free agent starting pitcher and a couple of relievers. Our bench with the exception of Diaz is pathetic and must be strengthened. The big lift our offense needs should come from a healthy return by Yordan Alvarez. Taking him out of the middle of our lineup was a huge blow. I know it is wishful thinking, but, I wish Crane would realize he screwed up in hiring Baker, bite the bullet, pay Dusty off, and bring back AJ Hinch before he signs somewhere else. AJ won't have to go begging for a job

AJ is already being linked to the Mgr job in Detroit. He can probably have his pick of any openings. We won't get him back. Crane hasn't got the balls to fire Dusty and bring Hinch back...assuming AJ would come.
