offense looks like the playoff Astros from 2017.Top of the order plus Correa were outstanding, Our bullpen......what was supposed to be the weak link....has allowed NO runs in the post-season. The A's pitched their ace and lost....we got to their pen...A's probably talking to themselves. Getting game one in this series is huge.

Well, part of the bullpen's success is that we've barely used the bullpen. We've used starters out of the pen in all three games. The only relievers to be used so far are Taylor, Paredes, and Pressly.

Oh, and for those keeping count, that's two games in a row where Altuve has driven in the go-ahead runs. That has to be a confidence boost.

They all contributed to the win. They earned that trip to Chuck E. Cheese.

We have to have starter last more than 4 innings. We can't stand more starts like we have had from Greinke and McCullers. We will need five starters if this series goes five. If the offense keeps going, we should end it in three or four.

It looks like the team as a whole has turned it up a couple of notches. Having been here before and knowing what it takes to win in the post-season is working to our advantage. That is the advantage we have over the A's, plus our lineup is much deeper when it clicks.

If the offense keeps going, we should end it in three or four. They need to continue their approach of just worrying about winning the immediate game. If that requires using multiple starters, so be it. They're not a good enough pitching staff this year to plan in advance. Win that day and then worry about the next.
