Even if Strom went out there and threw a no-hitter himself the hitters have to find a way to score a run or two... Can't rely on their SS to make an error with 2 outs in the 9th. |

So I have bad news and good news about McCullers:
Bad news:
He is considerably worse in day games than nights...
He is considerably worse on the road than he is at home...
He is worse on 5+ days of rest compared to his normal 4 days of rest...
His career numbers against Oakland are considerably worse than his average numbers...
His high leverage numbers are horrible...
He has gross hair.
Good news:
He is completely better in the postseason than he is in the regular season.
In very limited appearances he has had great success at Dodgers stadium.
He had a great game the one time he faced this current Oakland team.

I am surprised Greinke didn't start game one, and, I think Greinke was, too. I see that Valdez is to start game two and I think that is a good idea. Game one will be the key to this series.....we need to pull out all the stops to win it even if we have to bring Valdez into this game and use Greinke or Urquidy tomorrow.
