When he never pitched in the five game series there, that was proven. Their pen was on fumes yesterday and he still was never mentioned. Fiers is a spineless asshole and Melvin is a coward for protecting the weasel. |

Hinch dumped him from the rotation and Verlander stepped in. Hinch kept him off the post season roster and then he wasn't offered a contract. He waited for the chance and then showed his colors. |

If there was anything that made the A’s look weak, it was the coddling and nursing of Baby Fiers during the whole series. You don’t put the desires of one player over the needs of the team. If you weren’t going to use him, why have him on the postseason roster?
Like I said, it’s a really bad look for him and Melvin.

He avoided using him against us at all this season, even when we had the five game series in Oakland. His pen was on fumes in this series and still no sign of Fiers. I never heard his name mentioned. |

I didn't realize we also have Cole Tucker in the outfield. If we sign Springer, we can let Brantley go because we have Cole and Kyle in the other 2 of spots.

Maybe Cole is Kyle's twin that we haven't met as of yet. I hope they are right and we do re-sign Springer. That could help us keep Brantley, too. |

I actually think the Astros match up better against the Rays. Face it the Rays overperformed their talent level the last seven weeks, mostly on offense. They're due for regression; might as well come against us.
