Offense better wake up again fast or this will be a short series.

Offense better wake up again fast or this will be a short series. No Verlander, No Cole, No Osuna, No Alvarez.....The Astros did not make one impactful acquisition....plus they went through a shit storm for the cheating scandal.....so to be back in the ALCS....that is pretty F' amazing.....Despite what people say about Dusty, if they take everything into consideration that should reverse their thinking... I think the Astros are playing with house money....

Offense better wake up again fast or this will be a short series. I somehow was encouraged after thinking of the mediocre pitching we have. No team in a year and a half has beaten the Rays when trailing after 7 innings, and the Astros became dangerously close.

One adjustment I’d like to see is for them to lay off more inside bat-breaker pitches (cough Yuli cough) and start driving pitches to the opposite field. They can’t revert to the passive/hoping for a walk approach of the regular season. I mean if they get crap to hit, that’s fine, but it’s time to start hitting hittable pitches.

I agree with thomas that we are playing with house money. I still don't think Dusty Baker is the guy to lead us into the future. We won't get him, but, I'd feel better with Hinch.

You don't just go from the productive hitter he was into being crap overnight.

Even though you don't like Dusty, to be in the ALCS, with this rotation compared to last year's rotation l, is definite proof he was instrumental in their 2020 playoff advancement.

We are in this position because of the players, not because of Dusty. All I will say in his defense is we didn't fail to get here because of him. I keep remembering the good teams he managed that made the post-season but never won it all. He was 3-13 in closeout games prior to this season.

It looked like if Yuli kept his foot on the bag and picked up the ball, he still had time to record the out.

No, Your little boy needs to wake tfu.......that was clearly on the dumbass, Altuve. It wasn't a good throw, but Yuli, barely stretched, then lazily tried to pick the ball up as it rolled out of his glove. Did you even watch the play? Yuli looks like he's given up.

Nice to see the Rays’ RF crash over the wall to catch a fly ball when our guys can’t even complete a 4-3 putout on someone with grandmother speed.

If Yuli had put forth any effort at all... If he isn't going to hit, he at least has to show effort defensively.
