I do not understand the protected draft pick... Maybe you can help explain it to me. I don’t know as much about basketball. It’s not as good for the recipient as a guaranteed draft pick. If the team that gives away a protected pick sucks hard enough to have a top ten pick, they get to keep it. Let’s hope DC doesn’t suck next season. |

I think the protective pick doesn't start until 2023... That year I think if Wizards are in the top 14 picks, then the Rockets have to wait till the following year...then and 2014, I think if in top 12, then goes to 2015.... Then if in the top 10, it will revert to two second round picks.... And that's that... Given Wall's injury, and likelihood of how many games he's going to play, I think the Rockets are going to be worse next year... Probably the year afterwards.... It's not a salary dump, because their salaries matched. It all depends in the future, if they actually get to use the pick and make good of it... |
