He is a great hitter when he uses all fields instead of wanting to pull on every swing. |

At his current pace, he won't come close to attempting 70 steals. I don't think he has figured out how to read the pitcher as to when he should run. Might help if a coach who knew how to teach that were available. I think that was one of Pettis' areas and he isn't with the team right now. If Straw learns how to get his lead and read the pitcher as to when to go, he may steal 70. But, I don't think he's capable right now even with that speed. If he is unsure of himself, that is a concern. |

If you would learn to read before popping off, it would help. How did George become part of this topic? I have said he was the MVP WHILE HE WAS HERE. Yet, you come up with some off the wall comment like that. All I said about your little man crush is that he tried to pull the ball too much and he had a terrible at bat when we had a chance to score. He pulled the first pitch he saw right at the third baseman instead of taking it to the opposite side as he should have done. I know he had two hits. All I did was point out how he gets himself out by pulling everything. If you can't see that, you need to pay closer attention. Yes, George Springer WAS the MVP of the Astros for the last few seasons, NOT Jose Altuve. The record speaks for itself. |
