The kids we brought up are producing. I liked what I saw from Taylor Jones at times last year and he is looking good. I think we should put McCormick in the lineup and get Straw out of there. He sucks.

Why does Dusty have to go to Abreu every game?

If I were commissioner, I would dedicate 2022 to Jackie Robinson. Put on the #42 every game for all I care. After 2022, no more JR Days or 42 jerseys. Enough with the idolatry.

I'm sick of them slobbering all over Jackie every year. We all know what he did for blacks to let them get into the majors. It was long overdue. Lots of black players who were better than Robinson never got the chance.

Dusty continues to amaze with his bonehead moves.......Pinch hitting for Taylor Jones with Dawson was just plain dumb. Jones had a hit and a walk was involved in our scoring. Dawson kills the inning with a DP ball.
We are about to lose our 6th straight unless Pressley can get out of the mess Stanek created with two walks to open the bottom of the 9th.

Like clockwork, Pressley comes in and gives up a ground rule double to the first batter he faces and our losing streak is now at 6 and we go below .500 Baker continues to show why he should not be managing this team with more bonehead moves. Now, those of us who stay up can hear his endless string of "you know" in his post-game interview.

It was Bryan “Ball Four” Abreu and Ryan Stanek that did them in. The excuses are mounting for this team, and not having reliable strike-throwing relievers is blowing games for them. Javier, Paredes, Raley, Smith, Abreu, and Pressly all seem hard pressed to throw strikes when they need it. That’s a lot of iffy relievers.

We knew it was a gamble to depend on Straw to hit enough to play every day but Click failed to sign another outfielder. Click signed Baez who was supposed to set up for Pressley and he has yet to show up and throw a pitch due to COVID or whatever. Our young relievers pitched in stadiums without fans last year so maybe they have not made the adjustment to fans being back. Urquidy, like most of our starters, sailed along and then, for whatever reason, hit a wall and lost it. Our relievers, with the exception of Raley, were ineffective last night. Raley only pitched to one man. Taylor hung a pitch over the middle of the plate and gave up a home run. Abreu was wild again. Stanek, who had been lights out, failed. Allowing Taylor to start the 8th was one of Dusty's bonehead mistakes that probably cost us. Sending Dawson up to pinch hit for Jones was also a bad move. Pressley is famous for coming into games and allowing runners who were on base to score. First hitter he faced ended the game with a ground rule double. Now, Taylor will go on the IL and we don't know who will replace him. Straw has yet to prove he belongs in the lineup. We knew replacing Springer would be next to impossible, but, I thought we'd get more from Straw. I don't know the solution in CF because I don't know now McCormick or Tucker would handle it. Leon isn't ready. Again, Click sat on his ass and failed to sign the OF we needed. Instead, he brought in Souza who has already been released. With a GM who seems to do nothing but sit and wait and a manager who has shown he can't handle a pitching staff, the problems we have are plain for everyone to see. We need help. The return of Valdez will be a help.
