A win tonight would put them only a half game out of 1st place. They have to figure out how to get back on track. No news on the guys that hit the IL.

They are back on the road so they will probably score 8-10 runs a game even with Altuve, Bregman, and Yordan out of the lineup. I hope they give McCormick some playing time on this trip. Stubbs will probably get a couple of starts to relieve Castro. In my opinion, Stubbs has been screwed over.

Freakin squeeze plays, sac flies, and RBI groundouts are what they need to work on tonight. If they’re lucky, maybe an RBI base hit is something they could also try and do.

There are no Crawford Boxes on the road so maybe they won't all be swinging for a home run. The visiting team hit nearly all of the home runs on the homestand. I wish we would execute a suicide squeeze, hit ground balls to advance runners, bunt for a hit, execute the hit and run, etc. I still think having incompetent hitting coaches is a huge part of the problem. |
