7-9
1. Even if Straw and Maldonado are going to suck, we still have 7 guys (6 with Altuve out) that should be hitting consistently. We went from 8 guys having .800+ OPS a week ago, to 4 (3 with Altuve out). 2. Bullpen. It's time to move on from Smith and Raley. They've got nothing. I'd rather see young guys with potential struggle than old guys suck literally every outing. 3. Coaching staff. You gotta do something. There is way too much talent on this team to be struggling so horribly. I don't know what y'all are doing, but you have to find a spark. Call Hinch and get some advice. Something. 4. Straw, if you can't hit you need to start fielding. I can think of three plays that weren't made resulting in game-changing runs that a good CFer makes. You look worse than Marisnick. At least Jake would make some good defensive plays while sucking at everything else. You just currently suck at everything.

The lineup I want to see today:
Tucker (CF) Brantley (RF) Bregman (3B) Gurriel (1B) Correa (SS) Yordan (LF) Garcia (2B) Castro (C) Urquidy (P)
Yeah, the OF defense might stink, but we have to get some runs on the board for once.

For once, we agree on all points. I don’t usually put too much stock in managers, but we now see that Dusty brings nothing to a team when things are less than optimal.

I’d also rather watch paint dry than Straw at the plate. They could put the entire defense on the right side of the field, and he still wouldn’t pull the ball.

At least Jake would make some good defensive plays while sucking at everything else. You just currently suck at everything. 1.straw does more to hurt the team than help it. Maldonado went into last night's game with a .091 BA and an OBP of .118 When we had him the pitcher, and Straw hitting in succession, we gave the Rockies pitcher a free inning........three automatic outs. 2. Smith should have never been on the roster coming out of ST. Raley had a good year last year and has a couple of decent outings this season. Dusty is using him in the wrong situations as he is the majority of the rest. When Garcia was pulled, it made no sense to bring in Abreu to give up the misplayed double that Straw gave them that resulted in us blowing the lead. Stanek, who should have replaced Garcia when he was pulled, came in to pitch the 7th. He keeps bringing in Raley to face righties which is a bad mistake. Then, I suppose he had given up on the game and brought Smith in to give up a three run shot on an 0-2 count. 3. We have no coaching staff with the exception of Strom and the base coaches. I don't know much about the bench coach. Our hitting coaches are jokes and have done nothing to help the hitters........fire them. Dusty Baker is still the same joke he was when we hired him. He has always mishandled pitchers and is a disaster in that phase of the game and proves it nearly every day. Hinch should never have been fired. We should have used an interim and then brought AJ back this year instead of being stuck with this moron. 4. Jake Marisnick is a superior outfielder to Straw and our other outfielders defensively. He is a weak hitter, but, does have occasional power. Straw can't hit line drives, home runs, or even bunt, Plainly speaking, he isn''t worth a damn and needs to be sent to Sugarland. I'll take Jake all day long over Straw, who never uses his speed the few times he gets on base. (Now, Bortaz can call me a "mongoloid" for think "Jork" is betting than Straw Straw SUCKS..period. Another brilliant move made by our moron manager was sending Toro up to pinch hit in the 7th when he represented the lead run and leaving Yordan on the bench. That was sheer lunacy. If we want any chance of winning, they need fire this dumbass and hire a manager.

Over the years, Dusty has had teams with good lineups and strong pitching and still lost because he didn't know what to do with the talent he had, especially the pitchers. The Nationals fired the fool and then won the WS the next year with basically the same team.

Yeah, Toro pinch hitting in a game situation over Yordan was a brainless move. I know it’s an NL park but still. In the long run, they desperately need to teach that guy a position they can have confidence in using him.

We have a guy that can catch, play LF, play 2B, is a great baserunner, and is paid peanuts comparatively....but we keep Toro on the big league team. There must be something about Stubbs they really dislike.

If anything this game reminds me of playing Baseball in the commonwealth in April. Where your best pitch was the pine tar breaking ball.

All things considered, Urquidy did well. He could’ve rolled over and imploded like McCullers but instead regrouped and got his 5 innings.

I'm starting to think the team doesn't have a plate approach other than to mimic Altuve. That's why they're totally clueless when he's not there
