Our moron manager has Straw leading off, Correa "resting", Maldonado catching, and Garcia back at second base. I guess he wants to donate one game to the Angels.......UNBELIEVABLE. The offense starts clicking and this stupid SOB screws with the lineup. Correa leading off made it go...now, Straw is back there to screw it up. I repeat....Baker is a damn disaster as a manager. We start scoring runs and get on a win streak, and, this fool screws with the lineup.

Lord knows a strong wind could send him to the IL.

First of all, I was talking about Game 7. Secondly, Gurriel was also at fault for not picking the throw. Talk about a guy who did nothing that series or in the whole postseason. 1. If Altuve hadn't screwed up games 5 and 6 there would have been no game 7. 2. NO part of it was Gurriel's fault. He wasn't the one who made a throw straight into the dirt 8 feet in front of the bag. TOTALLY THE FAULT OF ALTUVE. He had a bad year with the bat, but, that had nothing to do with Jose's half-assed throws. Right now, he is the most consistent guy in the lineup while some little fart tested positive for COVID and has had a vacation. You could say he is the reason the other four missed games, too. Your memory of Altuve throwing 8 ft short of Yuli is so flawed... By the video it's hard to tell it if the ball even bounced in front of Yuli....

How did those EIGHT runners get on base? You hate McCullers so you blame him for little dumbass's throws. A pitcher isn't expected to pitch a perfect game. He made the pitches to get a ground ball out. Your hero threw the ball into the dirt so instead of retiring the side, they had two on.........totally the fault of Altuve. When a pitcher makes his pitch and the infielder blows the play, it is not the pitcher's fault. As I said, you blame the pitcher for the defensive screw ups. TWO of the EIGHT runners were on base because of Altuve's half-assed throw. No one is blaming Lance for Altuve’s errors. They’re blaming him for his House of Cards mental composure. He is mentally weak. You cannot deny that. He gets nervous, fidgets, curses at himself and others, and can barely come up big in his starts. When he does, it’s after losing it for a little bit (sign of a lack of toughness). You keep harping on Altuve’s throws, but his and Correa’s offense kept them in the series when others, namely Bregman and Gurriel, checked out. It’s not Altuve’s fault alone for none of them hitting the ball with RISP, and that is mainly why they fell behind 3-0. Then, they scratched and clawed their way back only for Lance to put them behind the 8-ball with home runs in Game 7, pitching a weak 3 2/3 innings in an elimination game. You have a bias against Altuve, and that is the reason why you blast a player far more productive to the team than a mentally fragile starting pitcher.

The only "bias" I have against Altuve is his brain farts and impatience at the plate. Those throws were out of character, but, still cost us games. He seems to have corrected that. I want him back in the lineup, but, I would leave Carlos in the leadoff spot.

Yes it sucks Altuve made the errors, but it is still everyone has to do their job after the error, to make the next out.... Despite those errors in games 2 and 3, the Astros offense was the reason why the lost, they only scored 2 runs in both games. And you couldn't replace Altuve's offense numbers in the 7 game series: .462/.563/.885, thus an OPS of 1.447... 12 Hits, 3 HRs, 5 RBIS, 6 Runs, 6 BBs...

Wow, I didn’t know he did that well. That fker sux...McTwitchy was the MVP of that series. Your selection is well thought out, but, I vote for Correa as MVP of ALCS last season. I also think Baker is the odds-on favorite to be Manager of the Year this season. That was a great lineup he had on the field today. His smartest move was leaving Correa on the bench in the late innings with the tying or lead runs on base. We damn sure don't want a guy who can hit the ball out of the park to all fields up there in place of sluggers like Diaz, Garcia, and Maldonado. Leave his worthless ass on the bench. We didn't need him.

And he was almost as good in the ALDS. He had a dominant postseason in 2020 but some just focus on two bad throws (one which probably should have been caught). Had we won the ALCS, he likely would have been the MVP again.

I am glad Saint isn't getting into it again.......until I say something else about his little man crush that he doesn't like. If he wants to think the guy who made the errors that kept us out of the WS last year was our best overall player in the ALCS, that is OK with me. It is a hypocritical stance to say the least. A guy who gave away EIGHT runs to the Rays can't be our best player in the series. Carlos Corrrea had that distinction. Altuve had big hits in the series but they didn't overshadow his throwing blunders which killed us.

Correa got the fame and for good reason, but Altuve was the unheralded workhorse producer of the offense. Correa pumped up Valdez, after Valdez was rattled....and then Valdez came out and performed the next inning....So Correa showed some leadership.... But Altuve outshined everyone offensively....and it wasn't even close.... Brantley did very well though: .346/.452/.462, thus an OPS .913....9 Hits, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 2 Runs, 4 BBs...

He said on Altuve's throw to him in game 2, He should have scooped it up... That nine times out of 10, he does.... Actually that was a pretty bad throw by Altuve, despite the fact that Carlos usually fields it.. I've looked at that throw so many times from Altuve to Yuli.... Where the Astros were in the shift, and Jose was in short right field, and fielded it.... It's very debatable even if even if it bounced..... But it wasn't horrible throw.... Nothing like Altuve's throw to Correa.

Jose also smelled worse than anyone on defense. And McCullers has the composure of a newborn. Yes, he did, and, that is the main gripe with him. He has been around long enough to know he can't let fielding errors shake him up like that. I hope the composure he showed yesterday during the inning they got two runs they should never had continues. Angels get two because of a 30 foot ground ball down the the third base line, a walk, and, a ground ball that hits first base and goes over Yuli's head to score both. Lance settled in and did well after that happened. Maybe that is a sign of things to come.

We have had guys in the past who blew up after errors or anything else that went wrong.........Don Wilson did, and, early in his career, JR Richard was prone to do the same thing. Jerry Reuss and Mark Lemongello were the worst.
