I'd actually give Dusty kudos today. I was happy to see him give Garcia an extra inning. Raley goes unheralded. His results are better than his stats. He's slowly coming around. |

Raley has been great in his last few appearances. Paredes, Scrubb, Abreu, and Stanek are pot luck. Smith is garbage who needs to be traded or released. |

Tonight's DUMBASS OF THE GAME goes to Alex Bregman for having probably the absolute worst at bat I've seen all season. Correa has walked on 4 straight and Alex steps in and K's on three pitches while swinging at the first two, neither of which were strikes and then getting called out for taking the third pitch.

After we won last night to take the first three of this series, I thought he'd pull another stunt like this. I just thought Bregman would be one of those who got the day off. Dusty seems to rest guys when they are hitting and that makes no sense. You could tell early in the game that our guys didn't give a damn about the game and that is probably due to the weak lineup Dusty ran out there. |

But wouldn't the Astros look like fools, for cutting the hitting coaches, when the team, as a whole, is leading in a lot of hitting categories. I guess I just hate to see the same guys making the same mistakes over and over. Our young guys with speed should know how to bunt and all of them should know how to take advantage of the shift. |

I thought about not handing out the DUMBASS award tonight, but, after thinking back, I think Myles Straw deserves to be named DUMBASS PLAYER OF THE GAME for failing to bunt in a situation where it could have scored us a run and standing and looking at strike three with the bases loaded and us down 1-0. Fortunately, Maldy drew the bases loaded walk to tie the game.
