Having fans vote guarantees that people like Trout, who they know won't be able to play, still get voted in. I didn't expect any Astros to get voted in by fans even though they were deserving. |

All four Astros players who were selected for the All Star game deserved it. Yuli got screwed. Even though I may start a riot and cause some to cry, Yuli's numbers say he should be on the team ahead of Altuve. Brantley leads the league in hitting and definitely should have been selected. Correa is the best SS in the league and earned it. Pressly's performance speaks for itself. Jose has good numbers. I am not saying he didn't earn it......just that Yuli did more to earn it and got left off.
Fans seldom select the starters who deserve it. Trout should have never been allowed to be on it due to injury. He just kept a deserving guy like Brantley from getting the start. Aaron Judge as a starter is a joke.

It should not be a popularity poll or be controlled by fan voting in the major markets. Players and managers should select the starters and pitchers. The manager of the All Star team should be able to select at least three himself provided his selections are in the top five getting votes at his position. |

Correa is by far our best player and the most deserving. |

If Yuli Gurriel isn't added to this team, it is a travesty and injustice. With all the injuries to those selected, surely he will be called as a replacement. He should have been on it from the beginning. Look at the numbers.

The Delta variant is more dangerous than ever. l keep seeing people getting Covid and saying l should have been vaccinated, one of them needed a double lung transplant I don't think the election was stolen, but I wouldn't blame anyone for not waiting on the vaccine because 1) there hasn't been FDA approval for any of them, 2) people are still coming down with Covid even after being vaccinated and 3) some people are suffering some pretty severe side effects from the vaccine. Covid is far from the most potent respiratory bug we've seen (even in the last 15 years) yet there has been an outcry and uproar about it like none other. I wonder why that is? |
