I understand there was a thread like this on the old board and obviously whatever slump he was in at the time, he came out of. Maybe this will help bust the current slump!
Currently on pace for only 8 HR and 8 SB. Hitting a (weak for him) .306 with only a .767 OPS. All well below his typical numbers.
He's been great on the road but his home numbers are awful. Currently riding an 0-13 streak with 5 Ks.
Break out of it, Altuve! We need you.

Right now, he looks like an idiot at the plate. Pitchers are not throwing him strikes because he is swinging wildly at everything

It's unusual for Altuve to go three games without a hit, but it was only 4 games ago that he had a 3-hit game and was looking fine. 11 hits over 12 games in the month of May isn't great but it's not a total wash either. 8 strikeouts over those 12 games is pretty sustainable, no big problem there. So he's putting the ball in play, but it just isn't falling for him very often. Time should work that out for him. He's still on pace for a 200-hit season, or very close to it. Maybe he let Gattis borrow his charm for a series and now he'll take it back.

He started slumping when you came back to the forum, Saint. If I thought there was a chance that me leaving would fix it, I'd be gone in a heartbeat with no regrets.

We would rather have you posting than Altuve hitting. That's probably the nicest thing you've ever typed to me. This better not mean I have to stop being sarcastic with you.

Well, I’m still trying to get the forum set up and stable, so I even need your wrong opinions here. Heck, I even need Marshall.

He's desperate when he wants Ghick and waastro here. If Ghick/WM returns, I am outta here. Not worth the grief of the arguments. Guy is an unaldurated POS. His pseudo-intellectual non-sequituriish postings grated on me like a fingernail on a chalkboard. He was worse than trolls.

We'll be seeing threads like this even after he surpasses the 3000 hit milestone.
And 10 years later they will blasting him about tie selection at his HOF induction ceremony.

So since this thread was created, Altuve is 3-7 with 3 RBI and a HBP, plus he got robbed of an XBH by Trout.
Course, it could just be because he is on the road and he is heading into typically his best time of the year.....

Well...what is wrong with him? He's got a fan base who thinks he should be infallible and should never go into a slump, even though no player ever in the history of the game has met those expectations.

I only bring this thread up because he doesn’t look like himself this season. I don’t know what’s going on with his hitting.
