He is now one of only FIVE players in the AL with an OPS of .900 or better. He is turning into one of the best hitters in the league. who are the other .900+ OPS hitters? I don't remember all of them. But, Kalas named them all. I remember Judge and Vlad Jr. I am sure Ohtani is one of them. |

Lopez made the wrong call in sending Bregman on that ball to CF. Sending anyone would have been questionable, but, to send him when he isn't full speed was just plain dumb.

Great job by all four pitchers and a big home run from Kyle Tucker won this one. Yuli went 4-4 so Dusty will probably decide he's tired and needs the day off tomorrow. The offense was still awful...Leaving the bases loaded twice usually comes back to haunt you, but, the pitching saved them. We had 8 total hits and Yuli had half of them.
PS: For all of you who are in awe and want to slobber all over Ohtani. Vlad Jr.'s OPS is 1.018 compared to the darling of the WOKE media's .972 Vlad Jr. also has 44 HR and 102 RBI with a BA of .319. Ohtani has the same 44 HR with 94 RBi, but, his BA is only .259. Yes, he is also a decent pitcher, but, not spectacular. Vlad Jr. plays in Toronto........Ohtani in LA. The media has slobbered all over Ohtani from the beginning and has basically ignored everyone else. They handed the MVP to Ohtani in May. At least Vlad's team has a chance for the post-season.

If the Blue Jays get into the Playoffs over NY and or Boston it will be because of Vladimir Guerrero who has slightly better numbers than the Guy you guys are slobbering all over.
Since it is him and another teammate carrying them at this point I think he makes a case for MVP

Actually Bregman is number 6. Val Jr is #1 with over 1000 OPS According to Astros.com, Bregman's OPS is .820, Yordan .877, Altuve . 828., Correa .848. Yuli . 851, Tucker .902 Tucker Tucker is in the top 5 in the AL. Bregman is #6 on the Astros. |

Rangers lead the A's 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th and the D-backs lead the Mariners 4-2 in the bottom of the 6th.
