That trade was a big screw up for Luhnow. It is right up there with Hader for Fiers and Gomez. You really can't compare the two, imo. The thing they have in common is that we got screwed in both of them.

All over sports media people are insinuating that Odorshitty is acting hurt as a protest of being pulled early last time. If that’s the case, cut him.

I love the offensive outburst. I just hope we don’t see what happens all too often. 10+ runs one night, 3 or less the next night.

If that's true he has to go. I really doubt that's the case though. How would that help him at all?

I don't know about honor, but having a poor attitude while having health issues and not playing your best is a recipe for poor contract offers.

I don't know about honor, but having a poor attitude while having health issues and not playing your best is a recipe for poor contract offers. I am anxious to hear what X-rays show about his foot. I have never liked his attitude because he has had excuses for every bad start he's had. He blamed most of them on his "mechanics" being off. Then, there was the rant after his last start. It would not upset me if he never pitched for us again.

Well, annoying or not, if he keeps hitting like this he can stay! When a guy goes 4-5 with 2 home runs, he can be a little annoying for all I care. Let's see if Dusty rewards him by sitting back on the bench tomorrow.

Siri brings a lot of energy and personality to the table, and is probably a hair better on defense than McCormick. Wouldn't mind him being the backup and dealing Chas if we get a solid offer this winter.

The only thing that I can tell he's good for is wearing out the bullpen.

Over his last 7 games he is 3-18 and has struck out 9 times. Chas is 3-5 with 2 home runs vs Lyles this season. Brantley is nursing a sore knee. The sensible thing to do would seem to be to start Chas, Siri and Tucker in the outfield vs Lyles.

Here's his stats. Click on: Show Minors. www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/sirijo01.shtmlHe's 26 and been in the minors since he was 17. Nothing special but he's been hitting well in Sugar Land this year. I think the Astros are throwing him a bone, getting him a few weeks or a month of major league pay and of course ... free healthcare for life. Maybe he'll be able to stick in the majors some day. But if not, at least he got reward for his years in the minors. I like to root for kids like this. I hope he get hot for the Month so that he has something to share with his kids after he is out of baseball. I hope someone took him aside and told him if he wants to watch the ball find the seats, do it while trotting down the first base line. Standing there admiring it, is poor form. And he can admire it all he likes by putting the video on a loop. On his own time. Other than that, I wish him all the best. Go Siri! Go Astros!!!

He did extremely well in a game where the entire team was raking. That's cool. But not a great predictor of future performance. Let's see what he does going forward ...

I had not seen Meyers' stats lately to know he was actually that bad right now. With the numbers Chas has against Lyles, he needs to be in there along with Siri and Tucker. I heard them say during last night's game that Brantley may not play in this series to keep him off the turf in Arlington.
