Magic number is down to 2. We could clinch the division with a win. Get it going, offense!

I couldn’t care less who toes the rubber as long as it’s good enough for the win. While not nearly as unreliable as last season, this team is as streaky as 2019 but without as much winning. They need to get their heads out of their asses yet again and get a sense of urgency again.

It's like "we have it wrapped up so what if we blow off a couple of games". That is the wrong approach at this time of the year. I wonder if the guys who aren't running out ground balls.......and there are more than one.........will keep "protecting their legs" in the post season and cost us games by not giving 100%. We hear that Bregman is 100%,but, he keeps running at less than full speed on the bases. I used to get so pissed when they'd interview Biggio after a loss where they played with no sense of urgency because I knew EXACTLY what he would say so why interview him? It was always "that's baseball. We'll come out again tomorrow and try our hardest" That was almost as sickening as Drayton bragging that "our young men are doing all they can do to make us a champion", while he was dumping salaries and getting rid of needed players because the old miser didn't want to pay them. They need to be going all out to win today. The last three games it has almost looked like they don't want to clinch on the road.

Like I’ve said before, there’s plenty of time to mail in games when the division is wrapped up. That is what we both have been saying while we keep hearing about how we have a good lead in the division and guys should not be expected to give a full effort in blowout games. Once they wrap up the division is the time to start resting players and setting up the rotation for the playoffs. That stunt Dusty pulled with Framber yesterday and the bonehead move with Yordan in LA were both dumb moves that showed a lack of confidence in the players. I don't think for one minute that Yordan was pulled due to being "sore". Dusty pulled him for defense because he thought we could win the game without him. We did get lucky and win the game, but, Dusty looked like a damn fool and he knew it. So, he covered for his screwup by claiming Yordan was sore and keeping him out of the lineup Thursday. Yordan hasn't looked like himself at the plate since.

I don’t like this pitching matchup. Pussyfoot for us. Blackburn... a pitcher our guys have never seen, who has a 5+ ERA and has allowed 9 earned runs on 18 hits in 11 innings in his last three outings. This one has the potential for being a blowout in the A’s favor.

The brilliant Dusty will probably rest more guys today so we go limping home on a four game losing streak to face the Rays.

Day off for Correa.......Diaz at SS. Siri, McCormick, Tucker in OF. Castro catching. Dusty is determined to play Siri for some reason.

The way things are now, you can’t have Díaz and Siri in the lineup with an already struggling offense. Do they want to put even more on Altuve’s plate with Correa on the bench?

Day off for Correa.......Diaz at SS. Siri, McCormick, Tucker in OF. Castro catching. Dusty is determined to play Siri for some reason. In his last 7 games Siri is 3-20. In his last 7 games Meyers is 1-18. I sure hope Brantley is back and healthy for the playoffs.

Why is it on Altuve's plate any more than on the plates of Tucker, Bregman, and Alvarez? If he is truly the MVP as so many think, I'm sure he can carry us to victory.

Altuve has been producing at the plate and on the bases during this losing streak. Tucker has done okay. Bregman and Álvarez have been MIA this series.

I don't know why our masterful hitting coaches, Centron and Snitker, haven't found the problems and corrected them. I also think they are not being honest about Brantley's physical condition or they just want to rest him longer.

He was going fine in Anaheim until the old fool took him out and then lied about why. Bregman's run production has been MIA since 2019. Tucker's home run was the only run we scored yesterday.

That was a good pitch Harrison looped over Correa's head. I think we should DFA Graveman immediately, don't you? Maybe Abreu is ready to come back.
