Blackburn 1-3, 4.71 OI 6-7, 4.14 Let's see if there is any sense of urgency now that we donated last night's game to them. Three errors, hit batters, wild pitches, passed balls.......all went into one of the sloppiest games we've played all year. It looked like we were satisfied with clinching the division and last night's game was not important. The White Sox that is great at home and struggles on the road. We can't afford to blow the two seed by resting players and playing sloppy. If we lose the two seed, we will be very fortunate to win the division series. |

It would be nice to get home field advantage and hopefully win the first two at home. That would mean we would only have to win 1 of 3, two in Chicago and one at home.

Since the Astros will be playing the White Sox and Tampa Bay will play the winner of the WC playoff. Does TB play to win tomorrow to make it harder on NY since right now NY has a half-game lead? If they, NY lose tomorrow that would put them with 71 losses. IF both Seattle and Toronto win today and tomorrow that will put a 3 Way tie for the second spot. Baseball would love it and the Yankee haters even more and the loser in the Bronx would go into meltdown

And I thought the Astros were the only team choking. Boston had a chance to tie Yankee's for the #1 spot in the WC and so far they have managed 3 hits through 8 innings and allowed the Nationals to tie in the 8th at 1
