Okay.... Time to predict this years WS winner
I am going contrarian and say that it will be Braves in 7, just because they might hungrier for it. They do not have playoff experience we have, so this might backfire on me.
Then add the fact.... Does the COB office really want us to win? No conspiracy, just things can magically trend a certain way, so to speak

If you have to keep clarifying "not a conspiracy" time after time, you're probably a conspiracy theorist. That one got me a huge chuckle. OTOH, back in '11 when McLane sold the team, some were aghast when I speculated that there was some serious criminal shit going on between McLane, Selig, and Crane. I am 98% sure of it now. And now with some breakings news about cheating being more entrenched than everyone thought? In any case, I hope someday a lot of shady garbage that has gone on in baseball in our lifetime gets disclosed like it should.  |

He owned the Stros in last years ALCS. |

I want to change my prediction to Astros losing in 5, because look at this Tom Hallion is the WS crew chief, and Ron Kulpa and Alfonso Marquez are there for good measure as well. Hallion is always pathetic behind the plate. It would be good to know exactly what criteria is used when putting this crew together because some of the names on that list should not be rated highly enough to be on the WS crew. As bad as that crew looks on paper,it could be worse. Angel Hernandez, CV Bucknor, Laz Diaz, and Joe West could be on it. |

I don't think we can expect McCullers to be on the roster, and, if Meyers is unable to play, he needs to be replaced......probably by another pitcher or a third catcher. What I'm going to watch for is how Dusty figures to get Yordan in the lineup since there won't be a DH for three games in Atlanta. My guess is we see Tucker move to CF, Brantley in RF, and Yordan in left. He MUST have Yordan in the lineup.

This local radio guy Charlie Pallilo, a very fair and impartial sports expert picked the Astros in 5 games. I thought that was somewhat encouraging.
