Seems odd that Fisher is on the DL with gastrointestinal discomfort. Almost sounds made up, but I'll take it

Gives them a chance to see if Davis can stay hot at this level. If not, easy to bring Fisher back.

Sorry Fisher is on the DL, but, glad to see Davis. We needed a right-handed bat. Maybe Davis will hit enough to stay. I wanged Fisher sent down, not injured

If Davis hits anywhere close to what he projects to then he will stay, someone else will go. I read some speculation that he is going to get a lot of starts as dh.

I would bet Luhnow makes a trade this season. If J.D. tears it up could it be him? Does Fisher still have any trade value? It will be a very interesting summer.

can Joe Smith get some diarrhea? the problem with that is that Sipp gets his innings Sipp's been allowing fewer than half the runs per 9 innings that Smith does. Not sure what is wrong with Joe. If he can't be fixed, he can always be moved to 'trash innings eater' duty.

There is still hope that Smith is fixable.

Joe Smith's worst season was back in 2010 and was a 3.83 ERA. Give him some time. He's not a dominant shutdown guy like Devo, but he's a solid eat an inning pitcher with good overall career numbers and he's super durable.

I'm aware he has sucked recently. Him being bad recently doesn't have him anything to do with him initially being pretty good for us. Which is why it's a little interesting to me how he went from a sub-2.00 ERA to crap that quickly.

Nearly 3 calendar years of sucking doesn't not equal "sucked recently".

Which is why it's a little interesting to me how he went from a sub-2.00 ERA to crap that quickly. He overplayed in a contract year and stole 18mm from us, just like Marwin and Marisnick overplayed and stole millions. A whole lot of fans are duped by the overplay and think that is who the player is, regardless of his history. A lot of GMs do too. Some GM will probably FAR overpay for Marwin next offseason based on what he did in 2017. I hope it's not OUR GM who does it.
