Actually, we've extended Yuli, Brantley, McCullers, Maldonado, and JV in the last couple years. The only two we haven't so far are Springer (who had said years back he would test free agency) and Carlos (who wanted a ridiculous contract). |

No surprise here. We haven’t had much luck extending our core position players since Altuve and Bregman. Actually, we've extended Yuli, Brantley, McCullers, Maldonado, and JV in the last couple years. The only two we haven't so far are Springer (who had said years back he would test free agency) and Carlos (who wanted a ridiculous contract). You know that is very fair. I think I am still just burned from Springer leaving and never being able to extend him. Also not ever extending Correa. Although I was not on board with resigning him this offseason. I was fine parting ways there. Just feels like we have had trouble extending the homegrown, farm talent outside of Jose, Bregs, and McCullers. Click has done a good job with extending the players who came here via trade or FA; Brantley, Yuli, Maldy, JV, and don’t forget Pressly. |

I agree with Sherwin, CABS was the main core...Huge Yuli fan....McCullers is more the guy that hangs in your group that is really one of the group's tagalong friends....Not someone you really want to hangout with, but always seems to be invited.. |
