Lazy block attempt there, Lee... I’ve seen a couple times on wild pitches where he has no idea where the ball is. It worries me a little.

Chas is now more than 500 AB into his MLB career and is more than 10% above league average with the bat while playing a decent CF. Considering that and the amount of control he has left, he's got to be a good target for several clubs out there.

Every pitch I watch Odorizzi throw reminds me that Hunter Brown is just putzing around in Sugar Land kicking butt while this guy is doing his soft-tossing roller coaster act in real MLB games.

Hopefully his next start is for another team, and the Astros got something halfway decent in return. Any contending team decimated by injuries in their rotation? One that might see OI as their #4 or #5 pitcher? Where they are willing to give up a decent reliever for him? Or a backup catcher, if Lee is not deemed to be a playoff rostered player yet. Or maybe the Dodgers, a team severely hit by the injury bug, would be open to trading their #14 rated prospect, Jose Ramos, for OI. Would like to see if the Astros can strike lightning in a bottle twice, like they did with Fields for Alvarez.

Relax, guys. I read on here that Odorizzi is an above-average pitcher. Well he was before the 6 ER last night. His ERA had been down to 3.56. And I believe what was said by that intelligent poster was that he was "slightly" above-average.

He was sucky in April, 6.00 ERA and now he is sucky in July, 5.91 ERA. No records for June, I guess he missed June....But I am sure most of us here didn't miss him.

Until yesterday, he had been a successful pitcher for us more often than not. The biggest complaint with him should be his lack of durability and stamina.

I would say he was more bad than good in both April and July... It just wasn't one bad game that made his ERA higher than 🦒 😺 www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/31654/jake-odorizzi
