There are only 4-5 starts in a month, so one bad game can make a whole month look bad. Until yesterday, he had been a successful pitcher for us more often than not. The biggest complaint with him should be his lack of durability and stamina. I would say he was more bad than good in both April and July... It just wasn't one bad game that made his ERA higher than 🦒 😺 www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/31654/jake-odorizziI say he sucks.

I say Nathan and Todd should work together and get Odorizzi traded for someone that actually we want playing for the team, especially come playoff time...Todd is the promoter and Nathan is the negotiator...Okay that is settled, what else is on the agenda?

He had a slow few games getting started to begin the year, and then he got rolling well until his injury. It took him a start coming back from that and then he looked good again until the blister yesterday. We had a number of players start the year slowly (Altuve, Bregman, Tucker, etc.). You were patient with them and had no issues with them starting slowly. Why is it different for Odorizzi? The guy is certainly not an all-star at this point, but he seems to get a lot of abuse for being a mostly mediocre-okay pitcher based on the overall results. He's a #4-5 starter on most teams in the league. Maybe he's a little overpaid for that, but not by a lot.
