I posted the below on another idea. However, I think it should be it's own thread.
Things that can Click/Dusty can do post trade deadline:
1.Demote Meyers to the minors, bring up Leon. At the very least Leon has a cannon of an arm.
2. Let Vazquez play more
3. Promote Hunter Brown, and put him in the rotation until McCullers comes back.
4.At that point, put Verlander, Valdez or Garcia on the IL. And rotate them around on the IL, to lessen the IP.
5. Maybe Maldonado on the IL when Click/Dusty are doing the IL carousel for starting pitchers. This in itself should get Vazquez more playing time(#2)... Promote Lee back to the majors
6.Audition for final bullpen pitcher: Maton, Martinez or Abreu. Which two stays, which one gets demoted.
7. Give Brantley whatever minor surgery or rehab that could hopefully get him back to 2 weeks before the playoffs begin. [/quote]
What do you think? Be an Armchair GM or Coach.....

1. Demote Meyers and promote Leon. Leon can't do any worse and it might be a spark. 2. Make Mancini the permanent LFer. 3. Leave Yordan to DH. 4. Chas becomes the 4th OFer and lefty pinch hitter. 5. Have Diaz rotate through a few games week giving players time off. 6. Promote Hunter and stick with a 6-man rotation to keep the pitchers rested. 7. 50/50 split between catchers with Vazquez pinch-hitting for Maldando in late close games. 8. If Brantley can come back, move him and Mancini into a rotation of corner OF spots, DH, and 1B.

9. And if Brantley does come back, demote or release Dubon.
Postseason Roster:
Altuve 2B/DH Gurriel 1B/2B Yordan DH/LF Bregman 3B/SS Mancini LF/RF/1B Tucker RF?CF/LF Pena SS Leon CF Maldonado C Vazquez C Diaz 1B/2B/SS/3B/LF Chas LF/CF/RF Brantley LF/RF/DH or Dubon 2B/SS/CF
Verlander Framber McCullers Urquidy Javier Garcia Brown Pressly Stanek Smith Montero Abreu Neris or Maton
I would have Javier, Garcia, and Brown all moved into the bullpen with a 4-man rotation of Verlander-Framber-McCullers-Urquidy. For both McCullers and Urquidy starts, I'd have Javier or Garcia ready to pitch the 2nd half of those games.

I don't know about giving Mancini the most starts. His wRC+ the last 30 days is 85 while Díaz is 196. Also, why not make Chas the starting CF. He's been more consistent with his bat than half the regulars

I think the trade rumor portion of the season and the thoughts of leaving Baltimore got to him also. I expect he'll have a very good end of the season.

1. Try to get Jeurys Familia. 2. Actually play Vazquez (at least 50% of the games). 3. Whether 1B or LF, Mancini should not be a bench bat. He needs to be in the lineup 9-of-10 games. 4. Keep using the 6-man rotation, first with Brown, then when McCullers comes back Brown either goes back to AAA or to the pen. 5. Let Will Smith work out his issues in AAA.

Dinelson Lamet was was also DFA'd by Milwaukee. You could go for him instead of Familia.
