Dunno if anyone cares about this but me, but Team USA's lineup for the WBC next march has been finalized and wow:

1B Pete Alonso
2B Tim Anderson
3B Nolan Arenado

OF Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Bryce Harper

Players definitely seem more into it this time, which is good to see. We'll see if we get any decent pitchers interested... That always seems to be the trick. The lineup is usually at least solid, but getting a big name pitcher seems almost impossible. The lineup this time is crazy good though, so hopefully a few big time arms will be intrigued and get on-board. |

I wonder how the Angels FO will feel about Ohtani doing it... I guess they'll be okay since they haven't tied him up with a big deal yet. |

Ever since America won, I’ve kind of lost interest. I never had much interest in the WBC. I did follow the winter leagues, though. I found it interesting to see if some of the marginal players could hone their skills and land a roster spot the following spring. |
