One of the few games the pitching lost it for us. McCullers was hanging his curve and it was being hit hard. I think he learned one lesson tonight......don't show up one of your infielders after an error. Altuve got his point across and showed that he is the leader we need. Marwin had three K's that hurt. He needs to sit for awhile.

Even though we lost this one it is hard to complain. The offense produced enough to win most of them and we can't expect pitching to be dominant every game. They were due for an off night and NcCullers emotions are always capable of getting away from him. I am not sure how he took to Altuve being pissed at him but Jose was right. Announcers kept talking about how hard it was to face a team twice in one week........didn't seem to bother Morton or Keuchel. In fact, Keuchel was much better in the second game. Lance hung pitches and they were hit out of the park.

Sounds like missing this game was merciful. If you'd told me the Astros would score 5 runs off Carrasco, I'd have thought it was in the bag. Lo and behold, the Indians bullpen actually showed up today.
Well, Astros are still in a good place to take the series tomorrow.

I wish I had seen Altuve getting on Lance's case. Lance is nails when he can control his emotions, and awful when he can't. Send that boy to an ashram in the Himalayas during the off season.

I don't think Gattis is better than Marwin. Marwin will pick up the pace and end up around .250-.260 this season while Gattis will still be around .225 to .240 at best.
He might. But right now offensively he is considerably worse than Gattis. With no recent positive signs. |

You wonder if Kemp's name was ever thrown in on being in any of these deals and was by passed. He is finally getting a chance to play on a regular basis and is not embarrassing himself.
a little ironic that'd be since Kemp's less valuable to us as a trade chip at the moment. We could use the OF depth |

Lance should be the last guy to show someone up. He gets a pass because it was Gomez. The guy would never go all out to catch a ball despite the highly praised defense. |
