Is Meyers throwing arm still subpar, like it was before he was sent down?

If the Astros advanced to the WS, who is the better team to face: Padres or Phillies?

Looks like JV matches up well against the Yankee lineup!

JV is going to give up a HR or two this series. The issue will be if there are runners on base or not. If he can hold them to solo HRs, I think he does really well.

Is Meyers throwing arm still subpar, like it was before he was sent down? I’m betting it is...... and he didn’t help himself by going 0-2 and striking out twice against the Mariners.

Nola is on a roll for the Phillies. He hasn’t given up a run in his last 19.1 IP which includes 6.2 vs the Astros and 12.2 vs St. Louis.

Yeah, him and Wheeler make a very nice duo in the rotation, and they have as good of a 1-2-3-4 as anybody with Schwarber, Hoskins, Harper, and Realmuto. I just think the Padres have deeper pitching and Hader.

I can’t stand the thought of seeing the Machado and Soto show in the WS.

My favorite memory of Greinke’s time with the Astros was when Soto took a pitch from him then squared up in the batters box, faced Greinke and started digging at the ground like a mad bull getting ready to charge. Greinke sailed the next pitch right past Soto’s head. I loved it! The old school way of dealing with such antics! That calmed the boy down.

Yeah I can't do it. I can't watch a series worth of Soto ABs. I'll have to watch some clips from The Office or Star Trek or something when bats.

Until Tuve shows some plate patience, I expect NYY to do what Seattle did – sliders and high heat outside the zone

If both Altuve and peña can get on base in front of Alvarez, then the Astros stand to do very well.

Well here's one random intermittent poster. The 'Stros are quite capable of pulling out this series (and I think they will), but we've seen them play poorly in the past two WS against lesser opponents. If NY doesn't hit HRs they're done. That's the key. I'd appreciate a stress-free series in which we score early and often.
