Shout-out to Urquidy btw. He hasn't pitched in forever and he came in and did a great job. Heck, he's been damn good in all of the WS appearances he's been in. We like to prop up Lance for his “low pay”, but look at what Urquidy does in the WS.

Let's just win tonight, so we are back in this series. Whatever lead we get tonight, we can't put it on cruise control. The Phillies are not like the Yankees, they don't quit when down.

I saw the video. Why the heck are you heckling an old man who does a lot for the Houston community? Mack was ticked off!

We like to prop up Lance for his “low pay”, but look at what Urquidy does in the WS. And Urquidy will likely get a good extension or contract too. McCullers did well for cheap in the 2017 WS too. Are we going to complain about Urquidy in a few years when he gets paid more and has a bad game in the postseason?

Astros are in a must win situation tonight. If they lose tonight, I will be creating the “2022-2023 Offseason” thread afterwards.

Are you new to Astros? We always prop up underpaid guys. That doesn't answer the question. McCullers is often injured, is hot and cold, and got a substantial raise with no fan complaints really. He didn’t show up yesterday like he didn’t against the Rays and the 3-0 comeback. His last start was shaky because a champagne bottle hit him. He’ll probably maintain that excuse for yesterday. In the World Series you mentioned, all I remember was one good start and one where he didn’t make it to 3 innings while hitting 4 batters.

The players just have to treat this like any other game. They're better than the Phillies. Play their game and get back on track. Let Hensley DH again, give Vazquez a start, and Dusty needs to be be ready to move faster on pitching changes. They can even the series tonight.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mancini DHing tonight and Maldonado catching. Hopefully Javier can throw a perfect game. Is there any way that Dusty can cost the Astros the game if Javier throws a perfect game?

He'd have to throw a perfect game in under 100 pitches.

Okay, guys. To feel better let’s hope for the win but not expect any changes. Let's be more confident. This isn't the Killer B's days when we couldn't get past the Braves. Some of that magic from 2017 (and should have been 2019) is still here. Even falling behind 0-3 in 2020 to the Rays they almost got back to the WS. They're only down one game, and they've beaten teams as good or better than the Phillies.

So Hensley is out despite having as many hits in 3 ABs yesterday as Diaz and Mancini have combined for in the entire postseason.
Diaz is in LF and Yordan is DHing. On the plus side, Vazquez is playing today.

He produces when he gets the chance but gets sporadic playing time and continuously passed over despite producing. If there was ever a time to play the hot hand, it's now. Hopefully Diaz has a good game, but his ABs have looked horrible. At least when Altuve has slumped he's mixed in some decent contact.
