Not that it's a major award or anything, but did y'all see where Ohtani was awarded the Edgar Martinez Award for the best DH in baseball?
Ohtani: 34 HR 95 RBI 90 Runs .273/.356/.519 .875 OPS 145 OPS+ 3.5 oWAR Yordan: 37 HR 97 RBI 95 Runs .306/.406/.613 1.019 OPS 187 OPS+ 6.3 oWAR
Don't get me wrong, Ohtani is the more valuable player when you add in his pitching and deserved the runner-up for MVP, but Yordan completely blew him out of the water offensively. How does Ohtani win this offense-only award over Yordan? This is a clear case of the media just wanting to keep hyping Ohtani. Even if you add in Ohtani's 11 stolen bases you have to factor in that he was caught 9 times! Very fishy voting results.

Yordan won the SS for the AL at the Designated Hitter position over Ohtani already so that argument has zero merit.

For the record, officially any player with at least 100 AB is qualified for the award.
If that really was the reasoning of the voters, they have proven their stupidity.
