Good for him. Going out after a good season rather than trying to hang on too long. Hopefully he will actually retire and not be one of those wishy washy guys.
He could probably get any type of broadcasting position he wants if he's interested.

He’s a good man. It’s a shame he wasted so many productive years on this now dumpster fire of a team.

He’s a good man. It’s a shame he wasted so many productive years on this now dumpster fire of a team. If he'd have been at 100% for the playoffs in 2019, they would have held on to beat KC and get to the AFC Championship game. That was the year...

It’s the only time I thought to myself that they could actually win it all.

If one were to have to choose the most iconic Houston Pro Football player in NFL history, it would have to be between JJ and Earl Campbell.

Despite the fact they played non-skill positions, it's my opinion the two greatest Oilers were Bruce Matthews and Robert Brazile. If one considers total career and achievement in Columbia blue versus their peers

If one considers total career and achievement in Columbia blue versus their peers Agree, on merit, longevity, and consistency. JJ and Campbell stole headlines, awards, and press though.

JJ should have won MVP in 2014. I said what I said.

He’s a good man. It’s a shame he wasted so many productive years on this now dumpster fire of a team. "I’ve seen that firsthand so many times. I now have a rule of thumb: 'There is no substitute for good decisions at the top—and no remedy for stupid ones.'" -- Ted Gioia May not be a better example in recent memory than the Houston Texans. I'm not sure if I remember someone who destroyed a sports franchise more shockingly and dramatically than Bill O'Brien.

Blame the owner Cal McNair for seeing what an inept coach O’Brien was and then promoting him to general manager.
