Kemp LF Right now I think it might do both Correa and Marwin good to sit out a game or two. With the roster as it is, it would be kinda hard to sit both of them on the same day and keep marisnicK out of the starting lineup too.... and I definitely place a higher priority on keeping marisnicK out of the starting lineup than I do on giving Marwin or CC a day off. Severino is going for NY on Wednesday. I think I would rather see Marwin get the day off today and let Correa face the lefty, then give Correa the day off Wednesday and let Marwin face the righty. I would like to see Correa moved down in the order today though. Lately he has been a rally killer in the cleanup slot. For today’s game I would like to see: Springer RF Bregman 3B Altuve 2B Gurriel 1B Stassi C Gattis DH Davis LF Correa SS Kemp CF For today’s game what I expect to see: Springer RF Bregman 3B Altuve 2B Correa SS Gonzalez LF Gurriel 1B Gattis DH Stassi C marisnicK CF

35-20. 1 game up in the division and 2.5 behind Boston for best overall. 1st in run differential at +126.
Top-5 WAR players:
1. Verlander 3.3 2. Altuve 2.5 3. Correa 2.2 4. Cole 2.2 5. Springer 2.0
Gattis has now worked his way up to a 106 OPS+. However, McCann, Yuli, and Marwin continue to drop further below average....

A reliever should be on the DL so White can be there to play 1B in games against LHP. Yuli should play 1B in games against RHP.

Couple semi-interesting tidbits:
Gattis on pace for 18 HR and 65 RBI despite only 404 ABs Bregman on pace for 53 Doubles. (The most since Berkman hit 55 in 2001.) Springer on pace for both 100+ Runs AND RBI. (Hasn't happened since 2008 by Berkman.) Keuchel on pace to finish 9-18 despite a 3.39 ERA.
Altuve is now 8th in the league in WAR and Correa is 10th (non-pitchers). Springer at 13th. Pretty interesting considering most people feel they've all under-performed for good chunks of the season thus far. Not badly, just under-performed.

Sometimes, my wife gives me solid color commentary during games. One time she said, “Gosh, that black guy (Sabathia) is so ugly. How is he a professional athlete?” Classic.

Your wife if a dirty racist and assumed his gender, like you. That should say "Gosh, that heavily pigmented person is so ugly. How is he or she a professional athlete?"

I happened to look at the game day thread hits and the one game had over three thousand hits. I might be wrong but on the old board for a regular season game I can't remember numbers going that high. Yo Bortaz the Stros refugee board might be getting nation wide looks.

I hope we concentrate on drafting a good catching prospect next week. When a non-roster spring invitee is what we had to birng jp, it shows we weak at the position.

Altuve is the biggest surprise on that list. At least it's a lefty on the road and not at home...
