Let's hope Framber can go deep and help stabilize things...
It was good to see Bregman get going, and Yordan and Abreu look good. We need Tucker and Pena to step up a bit more, and Diaz to get going.

The free runner on second in extra innings is high school girls softball bullshit. Can’t believe they didn’t do away with that when they made all the rule changes.

Yes, this team has been very boring thus far, minus a few highlights (mostly Yordan HRs). We need a very clean game tonight. This is what I want to see tonight: - 6+ quality start innings from Framber
- Quality hitting from the top 6 hitters resulting in 5+ runs
- Clean outing from the bullpen without giving up any runs

I don't think they've been boring overall, just inconsistent (like last year). Last year our starting pitcher was better early which kept us in some of these closer games. Until our offense gets healthy and rolling, I don't expect us to be as good right away.
Brown pitched better than his line shows. That was a flukey loss. I fully expect Framber and Javier to get us back to a winning record.

So when you see a guy at Coors with a .900 OPS and a guy in the Astrodome with a .900 OPS, OPS+ is the effort to show that, if they were in a league-average park, the .900 OPS in the Astrodome is better since it isn't as hitter-friendly. 100 is considered an average team/player in an average field. And then the opposite for ERA+. A 3.00 ERA in Coors would be much more impressive than a 3.00 ERA in the Astrodome. So basically, that 73 means that if all of the teams were playing in the same field, we're about 27% worse than the average team in an average field. Whereas our pitching is currently about 13% better than the average team in an average field. For comparison, last year where we were a 111 OPS+ team and a 134 ERA+ team. |

We have a .340 Team OBP but only a .294 SLG.... Yikes.
201 plate appearances with only 6 extra base hits (3 Doubles & 3 HRs) with half of those from Yordan.

The White Sox are a good team. If Cease stays healthy and some of their young guys like Roberts and Eloy grow, don't be surprised if they take the division.
