Why aren’t we running more? Chas is. Maybe that's why he keeps riding the bench. Maybe Dusty hates people running, which is why he didn't have Meyers moving to help stay out of the Dubon GIDP. I don't know. Who knows what this guy is thinking. It’s getting hard to stay positive about Dusty. |

They looked pretty sucky last year for the first month, too. Bregman won’t start hitting until May/June, we have multiple sub-par “hitters” in the lineup. Meyers has a noodle arm, Dubon couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat and Maldy is the same old feared hitter he’s always been.
Personally I’ve learned to take the season in 20-game bites. It prevents me from breaking TVs.

He has had an above-average wRC+ and above-average FG defensive rating each year so far. Statistically, he has done nothing at the ML level that should warrant any other opinion of him than liking. He is not a star but he is an above-average hitter who can play average or better defense at a premium position, and he only cost us a 21st round pick. We could use more Chas McCormicks. |

And Chas hustles and doesn't showboat. He'll never be a superstar, but there's no reason to not like him. He's a guy making the absolute best out of his talent.
