I haven't looked to be sure, but someone posted that we're 0-4 when Dubon starts.

I haven't looked to be sure, but someone posted that we're 0-4 when Dubon starts. The whiner that writes for CTH said it in one of his complaint pieces. He has a point about Dubón riding the bench though

Hensley dh Tucker rf Álvarez lf Abreu 1b Bregman 3b

Do you think Hensley would get on base more often than Peña? He does have a decent awareness of the zone, though.

I didn't originally realize today's game is a day game. Meh. Looks like I will be leaving word a bit early this Friday

Correa is off to a slow start, but Buxton and Gallo have looked good for them so far. An Urquidy vs. Gallo matchup could be scary with runners on base...

I didn’t want two DH’s in the lineup and one was overrated. In hindsight, I was harsh about Gattis, though. I just would’ve preferred him actually catching more often.

I just would’ve preferred him actually catching more often. They didn't take advantage of using Gattis as a backup catcher more often, imo. I know he wasn't a good defensive catcher, but he wasn't horrible either (and he was cheap). From a career OPS+ standpoint, both Gattis and Carter were slightly more productive offensively than Gallo. However, Gallo has sometimes shown above-average defense in the OF.

We'd sure hate for Julks and his 4-7 production over the last two games to play over worthless Dubon.... At least Meyers isn't in there.

All 3 of our primary OFers currently have an average OPS over 1.000. Nice.
Meanwhile Maldonado and Dubon don't even combine for an OPS of 1.000......

If you're looking for some hope, Dubon hasn't struck out a single time this year. His .200 BAbip is way below his career mark. His walk rate is also slightly better than his career mark. Maybe things will get a little better with him.
