He is owed too much to DFA and seeing as how much he is being paid I have been arguing he needs to be put further down in the lineup. Problem with that is the Idiot Manager Dusty keeps putting Maldonado in the lineup and now you would have two auto-outs together.

I still think Abreu was trying too hard to hit homers. Not sure if anyone noticed all his HRs were line drives last season, and he looked like he was reaching for a swing from back when they used to soar a bit more

So he's up to a .289 AVG with a .779 OPS in June. He still has a long ways to go to get his yearly numbers up, but we're seeing steady progress now. His RISP numbers are solid too. Not great, but solid.
