Teams typically go about .500 in one-run games. The Astros have lost four one-run games over the last two weeks alone. And this one was 0-0 headed into the ninth. When you put dumb lineups out there and refuse to make obvious in-game decisions, like pinch-hitting for your hapless catcher in critical spots, you are giving away wins. It's a miracle this team won the World Series with this manager last year. We won the World Series with a cruise control bullpen, which isn’t the case this season. They really need to step in and get rid of Maldonado or something. Dusty will ride that horse off a cliff and refuses to pull him from games or reduce his 80% or greater playing time. They’re stuck sitting around waiting for guys like Bregman to not suck for weeks at a time, but not playing Maldonado almost everyday is an easy fix to the hapless offense. It’s mid-June. They can’t afford to sit around anymore and say “it’ll come around”. This team needs pitching and hitting. Not being able to compete in close games is a thing now. They have to fix it whether by getting some players by the deadline, firing Cintrón/Snitker, or something else. The product on the field is barely the caliber of a postseason let alone championship team. I agree 100% with this post. Time for Dana to get to work, and Dusty have an open mind and listen to others on lineup order and who to start

Would you rather Dusty retire after this season and Espada become the manager - or - coach next season as well, then retire and Astros offer Kevin Cash, Rays manager, a 5 year deal

Ugly ABs by Jose all day outside of the walk. At least he got a hit unlike our damn disappearing act of a 3rd baseman. So tired of him. No he didn't.

Ahh gotcha. And yes, Bregman needs to get the doubles going.

Ahh gotcha. And yes, Bregman needs to get the doubles going. Yeah, I don’t even care about the homers if he’s whipping line drives past infielders. What they’re getting from him now is worth half his salary.

Between Dusty complaining about Crane not getting another bat, and Dusty mismanaging the roster Brown put together, Dusty and Crane the two of them are responsible for the subpar results we've been witness to the past few months and the bungling that led to it
