So when is the last time we had a bullpen you were all completely comfortable with? 1972 Do you remember Fred Flintstone Gladding

Guaranteed a split. Sherwin, you feel better now? I’m excited. Correa and Gattis are getting me amped. Let’s have a sweep. The stench of the Yankees and Indians games are starting to fade.

Id like to apologize to Lumberjack Gattis for giving up on him earlier and wanting him to retire. I wish I knew how to ask his forgiveness for wanting him DFA'd The adjustments he made are paying big dividends. Glad to see those runs in the 8th so we didn't have to endure Giles in the 9th.

The realist in me says Verlander is due for a flop just because law of averages. The optimist in me says a sweep is possible.

Altuve was back to his old self at home............0 for 4 That was the only real negative. Yes, but it a very common thing at home......For him to hit like he does on the road, and, then look like this at home has to be a mental thing.........He comes home and appears to want to be a pull hitter and it turns into easy outs. As i have said before, he is a good player, but, not the smartest pea in the pod. Why is he too dumb to see that his approach on the road will also work at home?

I missed this one while at work. But reading the box score when I got home gave me a big smile. Thanks for getting the boys through a tough pitching matchup, fellas (and Sempersmom)!

Astros home BA is up to .240 now; in April it was down in the .220s if memory serves correctly. That means the Astros are starting to narrow the gap between their home offensive production and road offensive production.
Astros have a legit 7 hitters over OPS of .750, whereas for Boston it's 6 and for Seattle, only 4. For NYY it's 10; that's how stacked those guys are.

Started last season at home slow, the great pitching all around has been great. Last season there was the help of a poor division, last night the Mariners pulled out another game. Their one run record is 17-9. Between the Angels and them, I would have picked the Mariners as the team falling off.

Yes, against their weakest starter. To his credi. most of the others were horrible against Pomeranz
