Today is the day we turn things around.
Leadoff HR from Altuve. They jump on JV early and get him pulled after just 5 innings. Framber goes 7 innings and gives up one earned run. No errors.
Astros win 7-2.

Abreu and Altuve have absolutely killed Verlander in their careers (obviously it's been several years since Altuve faced him), but Bregman is 0-10.

Are they any whispers going around Houston concerning Dusty and Crane? You know Crane can't be happy with the way this year is going so far.
Since a lot of this mess, Crane was involved so maybe he is keeping a low profile.

Whether Crane is happy or not, I don't see anyway that he'll fire Dusty due to the potential public backlash around the baseball community. THey just won't renew him for next year.

This I agree with 100%. He is stuck with Dusty this year no matter how bad the team gets. I just hope that if they somehow turn it around somewhat that Crane doesn't renew Dusty next year.

Because while I agree with the shitting on Dusty, I get tired of hearing about it because ultimately the players are the ones who are failing. He didn’t ask Bregman to not be worth the money. He didn’t ask Altuve to break his thumb or for Álvarez to get hurt. He didn’t ask Peña to swing at every piece of crap slider out of the zone. He didn’t ask the pitchers to fail getting third strikes. Now, with the Maldonado thing I’m completely against Dusty 1,000%. If you supply the tar, I’ll bring the feathers. |
