I can't help but notice that the pitching keeps getting blown up with Magic Maldy behind the dish. We've given up over 5 runs in a game six times this month, and five of those times was with him catching. It doesn’t help that no one can throw strikes. |

We've given up over 5 runs in a game six times this month, and five of those times was with him catching. The switch from Diaz to Maldonado for Brown has been nothing but a disaster. I'm not saying that all of that is on Maldonado, but it's hard to believe it hasn't had some effect. |

Hunter Brown with his catchers:
Diaz: 2.62 ERA
Maldonado: 3.79 ERA
But Dusty says it's not good to have a rookie catcher catching a rookie pitcher...........
