So despite the horrible start, Abreu is now on pace for 12 HR and 79 RBI. Still not $19 million a year production, but it's trending in the right direction. OPS is creeping up, currently at .622.

This needs to be the double digit run curse breaker today. Wainwright has been awful this year. The deepest he has gone in a game is 6.1 innings and he's given up less than 3 runs only one time.

Also, Abreu's OPS is the highest it has been since the 2nd week of the season.

I do not cut Abreu much slack. He is still on pace to strike out more this year than in any other year. Personally I think he came here to prove that his power was not gone and he started pressing too hard. Someone must of slapped him in the head and told him singles and doubles are ok.

Maybe Dustbag looked at the game last night and it finally sunk in that Maldonado cannot block pitches, cannot throw out runners, cannot hit, cannot run, and with him behind the plate our 2 best pitchers have sucked ass for going on 2 weeks.
