We are back to 1.5 games back of the Rangers. We can't lose these games/series against very beatable teams. The Yankees pitching is mediocre and their hitting is below mediocre after the top 3-4 hitters.
We are facing a very familiar foe in Severino. We have faced him a lot in the playoffs. He is having a very poor year. His ERA is 7.49. Hopefully Hunter can build off his strong start against the Rays.
Astros Hitters vs. Severino
Jose Abreu: .438 AVG, 4 RBIs
Jose Altuve: .211 AVG
Yordan Alvarez: .500 AVG
Alex Bregman: .214 AVG, 2 RBIs
Tucker: .200 AVG, 1 HR, 3 RBIs
The Yankees have never faced Hunter.

Yesterday stunk because it was such a winnable ballgame despite the early runs by Javier. On the plus side, the offense is due for a big game...

They need some bailing out by Yordan just to show teams who’s boss, but his swing isn’t quit there yet. Even his home runs look like he hit them at half power. The old Yordan would’ve gone deep on that laser to Stanton yesterday. |
