I've tried to keep my cool about Maldonado, given that the manager loves him, and no one would say bench me if the manger wants him to start. And I conceded the day he came back for another season that Baker wasn't gonna change regarding that.
But to learn that Maldy has caught the 5th most innings in MLB after suffering a broken hand and a sports hernia the second half last year is infuriating. No wonder he's had his worst season defensively, and the part of his skillset he's supposed to earn his keep on

Maldonado is a big boy. If he can’t hang, he should tell the coach and the team that seems to worship him. Anything else would be selfish. Surely, he knows it himself that his presence in the lineup hurts the team. |

However, his defense for which he is known for is putrid. He can’t throw a base stealer out and he also drops a lot of pitches. |
