JV has an ERA approaching 4 since the trade and has gotten blown up by two last place teams this month, tonight against one of the worst teams in history.
Gilbert since the trade: .327/.421/.555 with six bombs.

There’s not one aspect of the game where Maldonado is good and the guy starts all the time. I’m not saying it’s his fault the offense is so unreliable, but there’s at least a justification for the others playing so often. |
