I don't think it's realistic to expect management to start Yuli on the left side of the infield while Correa's out. Or White or Davis for that matter Why not? Because it is not necessary to rearrange half the defense because one player may be out......makes sense to play Marwin at SS and leave the rest alone.

Marwin has 260 career starts at SS in his MLB career. White has 0 and Davis has 0

So put White at 1B and Gurriel and Bregman go to their natural positions. Offense improves using White over Marwin, most likely. Defense shouldn't be overly affected.

Why would you move Gurriel from the position where he has played last year and this season? Bregman is now our third baseman......leave him there. Why would you unsettle two positions? Put Marwin at SS and leave the othes alone. White and Kemp can alternate in LF with Springer in center and Reddick in right.

We moved Bregman because of Correa and moved Gurriel because of Bregman. Why do you think they were working Gurriel out at 3B during ST?

Like Todd said, Bregman and Gurriel were only settled at their current positions because they were forced to move. Now, that Correa will likely be on injury leave, fortify the defense and offense anyway possible. I think that Gurriel at 3B, Bregman at SS, and either utility guy (White or Marwin) man the other corner at 1B. That’ll accomplish the goal.

I just don't like or see the advantage of rearranging half the defense because one guy might not be able to play. the way he was going, we could miss Correa's glove worse than his bat

Move blum into Tks chair, and Tk into blums.

What's the talk about players playing out of position, when talking about the Houston Astros that is the norm. With all the shifts, how many times Blummer has mentioned Bregs is playing short. How many times do you see CC on the other side of second, realistically in the second base spot.
Then the Gallo shift where Bregs your third sacker is playing LF. This is the SHOW.

It's moving guys to where they can play and not having to put Marwins lowly bat in there.

It's not realistic to expect that cause the shifts require the best fielder among your options to man that position. That's why Bregman didn't see much SS the last time Correa was injured. Yuli's grown to be more of a DH at this point; you said so yourself

And I consider Gurriel a DH if we have a real 1B.
