at 135 votes Wagner is at 79.3%. at 162 votes Wagner is at 79.0 so Wagner has gotten 128 of the 162 cast. To get in he needs 160 votes out of the 222 left to be cast or 72%. At this rate of decline he will be 2 votes short of getting in.

But yes he does have another year before the old folks home votes him in.

I hope his kid makes the team this year. well since Graveman is not going to pitch this year we are going to have to get a reliever they will have to trade Dubon to get some salary space so Wagner may make it. That would be nice for both things to happen this year.

Yeah, if Wagner breaks 72-73% he'll be a shoe-in next year.
Mauer is generating a surprising amount of buzz. Good for him.
Why Helton and Andrew Jones get so much love and not Berkman or Edmonds is crazy.

Wagner is just short of 79% at the 50% point in the voting. If current trends continue and the votes that are kept private until the end go as they had historically for him Wagner will fall 5 votes short

Wagner is just short of 79% at the 50% point in the voting. If current trends continue and the votes that are kept private until the end go as they had historically for him Wagner will fall 5 votes short I would think that would make him a lock for next year. Wagner is tracking at a 6% increase from last year. Last year he finished at 68.1%. Currently he is at 78% on 200 ballots disclosed. That has trended downward over the last five updates and it is now projected that he only has a 17% chance of getting in this year. But no one has ever gotten this close and not gotten in the next year.

Wagner picked up a couple more votes that he did not get last year and now sits at 78.3%. Still not over the top but getting closer.

their numbers comparable? Helton hit at a Hall level in Coors. Berkman hit at a Hall level everywhere. Unfortunately Berkman is like Dick Allen in that he just didn't reach enough high enough counting milestones. Your first sentence holds no value for me.

That tracking chart was pretty accurate throughout the process. It predicted that he would miss by 3 votes early on and he missed by 5.
