I had a dream last night I was stuck on the English-Finnish border. Geography is different in Dreamland. I had a dream last nigh, but I forgot what it was about... One of the few things good about getting older is that you can hide your own Easter eggs.

Bregman has his ops over 800 again. Looking good. Bregman has the makeup of a player that can hit .300 consistently and go off on a HR tear for a month. Ice water Alex

I know I have been gone for a while but Houston's bullpen eras seem a tab bit on the high side.

This surprised me, but the Astros bullpen leads MLB in FIP at 2.93. The bullpen ERA is 4th best in MLB and tops in the AL at 3.09.
Limiting the search to the last two weeks, though, the bullpen ERA has been 4.10 (19th out of the 30 teams). However, xFIP has been great at 2.69, best in MLB. That figure should in theory be somewhat predictive of the ERA to come over the next month.

Giles and Harris are both garbage. Harris throws BP and Giles is a head case......we have to go get a closer.
Since we are back on the road, we knew Altuve would start hitting again.....3 hits tonight. Great to see Gattis hitting homers and driving in runs. Another good game from Bregman. PLEASE send Jake back to Fresno.

Their eras seemed high when compared to both what I remembered before I took off for a while and high for what you normally expect to see out of them long term.

I wouldn’t miss seeing both Harris and Giles gone. They rarely dominate and are fire starters.

Harris and Giles are okay relievers. The problem is the management believes in them too much. Wasn’t Harris undrafted from LSU? Giles had the pedigree from Philly but just isn’t a pressure situation reliever.

Rondon should be used more in tougher situations, imo. To me, him and Devo are our best any situation relievers.
