Gattis and Marwin have lots of success against Hamels. Altuve, Bregman, Gurriel, Correa, Marisnick, and Reddick not so much. Springer has 3 HRs against him but only hitting .200.

Rangers have limited ABs against Cole, but only really Gallo has done much (2 HRs in 6 ABs).

I see ROTOWORLD has said he's day to day but will not be in tonight.

I'm just guessing, but I wonder if he was trying to protect his wrist when he messed up his lat. It's an old story in baseball. One injury leads to another, sometimes a more serious injury.

I seem to recall the AB where he winced and shook his wrist happening against the Yankees around the beginning of May. That's the last time I saw him check his swing and he started guessing rather than reacting (full swing or nothing now). His BA dropped from about .300 to near .200 since then. He still has power when he guesses right and can still play defense, But he needs to be able to react to pitches to do his best. Not being affected defensively makes me think it's his left wrist.

Now he may have hurt his lat because of it. Time to heal NOW before he's lost for the year.

Reddick played against the Mariners last night. Is he missing tonight's game with the Rangers? I can't believe Hinch has Marisnick in this lineup unless he has good numbers against Hamels and I still don't think he should start.

His numbers are not great versus Hamels. 4 for 19 with one solo homerun. That’s it.

Maybe it's McCann who's coming back Friday. That actually makes sense with Verlander starting tomorrow when he could have started tonight.

Yes, I think they said last night that McCann could be back Friday. I knew Reddick played last night.  He hasn't done very much against Hamels.
