Ashitaka were you surprised that Dirden got cut? Yes, but I saw his wife on Twitter saying that he himself requested it, so I assume they would have continued letting him try to rebound in AAA. No idea why he thinks things will be better in a different organization, no one else would have called him up after last year's performance either. |

What's surprising is that historically when Altuve is hot the team is hot...and, outside of a couple pickoffs, he has been fantastic so far. Maybe the best we've seen him start a season to this point.

In most times that never works anyway. Promoting Bench Coach from the Previous Manager. I always thought they should have gone outside to get a completely New Look and maybe shake up people who weren't preforming the best they could be.

I really think it's just a flukey mix of a little bit of bad luck, the relievers trying to establish themselves, and inconsistent offense.
Over the course of the season all of this will balance out, I expect. But hopefully we don't dig ourselves in too deeply before that.
