Oakland A's: 4-7 Houston Astros: 4-8
Stop it you bums.
Spencer Arrighetti vs. Seth Lugo
Mostly our guys haven't seen Lugo much as he's been exclusively an NL guy prior to this year, but everyone who does have a few ABs against him as done well (Altuve, Bregman, Yordan, Tucker, Pena, Caratini all hitting .333 or better).
Since Caratini is 3-for-4 against Lugo and Espada did the "veteran catcher for the rookie's debut" thing with Henley, might see him behind the dish and Yainer DHing, so Yordan in the OF again, and Meyers riding the pine again after they promised they'd give him a real, consistent shot.

Somebody tell me why Arrighetti is our best pitching prospect. His numbers in the minor leagues are very mediocre at best. Decent K numbers but too many walks.
Is he worth being a little excited about or is he another Bielak/filler-type?

Is he worth being a little excited about or is he another Bielak/filler-type? I would put him more on the level of France than Bielak. His stuff is better than both of those guys. He might end up better than France. I think he's at least a solid reliever long-term though (a good one-inning guy rather than a mediocre sponge guy like Bielak). All that said, don't expect a top of the rotation starter by any means. If we can get some years of 150 IP, 3.75-4.25 ERA ball out of him, that's about as good as we could really hope for. The fact that he's the top ranked arm right now is because this farm has been torched. There are a bunch of arms in the lower levels who could burst on the scene this year though.

I'd be more than happy with another France.

Abreu has escalated to making two outs at once now.

Royals announcers say long arm-length is something our scouts look at when it comes to pitching prospects

The rookie is getting nickled and dimed while we provide him no support.

I am stunned at how bad the Astros are playing since the season started. Something is rotten in Denmark.

Made a pretty large bet on Royals money line today. As The Astros are fading might as well get paid while it happens. Not sure how anyone who knows this team couldn’t see this outcome tonight. Two teams heading in opposite directions. post solar eclipse changes abound!

We're in trouble... Trying to stay positive but we just can't handle this level of pitching injuries.

They are showing no life as I stated earlier this is just like the 2013 Season but with supposedly better players.

I think things will get better once JV and Framber are back. However, I worry the hole we dig ourselves in might be insurmountable. Might be a .500 season or slightly above that.

Do you think the Manager will be in trouble if this keeps up?

I'm not sure I think Framber and JV are going to help much when this offense just gets dominated by the Seth Lugos of the world. There is no fire.

The offense will win enough games. Can’t win a lot when your pitching gives up 9 runs.

Do you think the Manager will be in trouble if this keeps up? Ownership will be looking for someone to blame if this keeps up. Often the manager is an easy target
